Hi, me again, Shirley your contact person with the PND support team.
l wrote the above quote with this picture to illustrate a point that too many of us miss.
No one can make us happy or unhappy. We choose to allow the behavior, attitudes, and words of others change how we feel about our own happiness.
We harm ourselves by not choosing ways that are healthy to cope with our day to day lives.
For instance, depending on a significant other to “fulfill you” is hogwash. If you aren’t fulfilled before you get involved romantically, your relationship is doomed from the start.
Two half people do not make a whole.
Two wounded people cannot heal each other.
By finding the wounds in our own hearts and healing as best we can BEFORE we meet someone else we are not only much more likely to be happy but to choose others who are also healed of their own baggage.
Hey, I’m not an expert when it comes to this concept, God knows I have harmed myself a lot through not doing as this piece suggests. However, now that I am aware I stand a much greater chance at love and living a happy life.
