Good morning everyone, welcome to Monday. It’s Shirley from the Patient Next Door support team.
This picture truly does say a thousand words. There are some things we can control, and many of them are listed above. If we spend our time paying attention to the things WE CAN control then we can live calm lives.
However, when our eyes roam to other people and we see things in their lives that we want to change, that’s when we get into trouble.
You see, we cannot change others, nor can we control them.
Unless the other person is a very young child, we are not responsible for their actions. Even when the things they are doing are harmful to them, we cannot and will not ever change someone else’s life. They are responsible. Period.
Learning to accept this concept is vital to living well and enjoying life.
As always, I do not bring topics like this to our reader’s attention not to scold or to make anyone feel bad about themselves.
I bring them to your attention so that you will become aware because awareness is the first step in defeating a problem.
Don’t forget to download and utilize our free Patient Next Door app onto your smartphone. With it, you can share the healthcare journey of you and your child with people who are facing similar conditions.
